Volunteers will be needed in the following ways:
Mentor – Our definition of a mentor is a person who is living out who God called them to be. You don’t have to be anything other than who you are. We need students to spend time with positive role models who can speak truth and encouragement into them. This is done by simply spending time doing things you both enjoy, taking an interest in them and being present for important events. Training provided. (Minimum 4 hours a month).
Leadership Class Teacher: We need adults to lead our students in their leadership development meetings. We provide the curriculum and ideas. This is perfect for someone who does well in groups and can manage multiple students. This person must be able to have fun! (4 afternoons a month).
Service Project Chaperone: Model servant leadership as you serve alongside of students in their community for a small service project. (1 time a month)
Dream Weaver: As we discover students dreams, we need people who are willing to help us research the cost and location of dreams and help us contact individuals who can provide resources to make those dreams come true (i.e. transportation, time, tickets, connections) (As needed)
Dream Chaperone: We will occasionally need people other than a mentor to transport and chaperone a student to fulfill their dreams.
Fundraiser/Grant Writers: If you have any experience in fundraising and/or grant writing, we always need help researching different funding opportunities and writing proposals.
